At fifteen he took his first booth at the APS StampShow, and he was the youngest dealer with a booth at the Washington 2006 World Philatelic Exhibition.

From 2005 to 2010 he worked in the Collections Department of the Smithsonian National Postal Museum. He was on the team that launched Arago, the Smithsonian's first virtual museum collections website, and he created online exhibits and school programs for the public.

In 2008 he proposed the American Philatelic Society's Young Philatelic Leaders Fellowship, which has mentored more than 35 young collectors over fifteen years.
